Mark joined the firm in 2012 having spent 2 years working for a personal injury and road traffic law firm in Newcastle upon Tyne. He graduated from Northumbria University in 2010 having gained a 2:1 degree in law.
When he joined the firm Mark was initially employed as a Paralegal however having demonstrated significant ability and a willingness to learn and develop he has since qualified as a Solicitor as of January 2015.
Mark works between our Prison Law department and Criminal Law department, occasionally assisting with Family Law matters. He is a fully qualified Police Station Representative and is working towards his Duty Solicitor Accreditation from the Law Society. He can often be seen at all local Police Stations and Magistrates’ Courts, in particular North Tyneside Magistrates Court. Mark has a particular interest in youth offending and domestic abuse matters.
In relation to Prison Law, Mark handles a case load covering a wide range of areas and he takes pride in providing excellent client care and developing a strong working relationship with clients. He has a particular interest in Adjudications and Parole Reviews. He regularly represents clients at locally at HMP Northumberland, Frankland, Durham, Deerbolt and Low Newton and has often travelled further upon request.
